A Parade of Horribles Review

Another Dungeon Crawler Carl review. I bet this is no surprise. In my This Inevitable Ruin Review I was worried that Matt Dinniman had used all of the plot points he had been building and that nothing in the series could have as many payoffs as that book. Well I was wrong at least about the idea that all the plot points had been used up. There's a lot of good twists and payoffs to previous events, some set up in the last book and some going way back. The whole Emberus plot I completely forgot about and that it needed to be dealt with soon. I don't think it was quite as strong as This Inevitable Ruin in this regard but it did create some great moments. That ending was unexpected, dramatic, earned and excellent all at once. It does all of this while setting up the final books perfectly though. They are left with a precarious situation while everything, in not just the dungeon, but the universe is collapsing around them. I don't have too much more to say without spoiling anything. This is just another great book in a great series.
